Abby Wright
A current participant of the PSEO program, Abby Wright is a junior at St. Francis High School taking full-time PSEO courses at both the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and Anoka Ramsey Community College. Although planning to pursue either a doctorate degree in Psychology or a master’s degree in Legal Studies, Abby is passionate about advocating for the betterment of the PSEO program, as it has allowed her to be the recipient of many benefits, such as receiving college credit while being a high school student, making new friends within the PSEO community, and opening many doors for the future which otherwise would still be shut, which signifies her continued involvement with People for PSEO.
As a current student of PSEO, Abby is aware of the importance of the PSEO program and its impact on its participants. Not only does the PSEO program allow students to graduate high school with less college debt, but it also helps close education inequities, break cycles of poverty, and build a new social network of friends, PSEO alumni, professors, and more, which is why it is vital to inform and educate new, current, or prospective students about the PSEO program. When she is not studying or working with People for PSEO, Abby enjoys finding new music to listen to, reading folklore or about current events, going on hikes, and lounging around with her two cats Enzo and Arlo while drinking a cup of coffee.
